What could be more delicious than a plate fresh pasta, especially if you have made the pasta yourself. Making your own pasta is not at all as difficult as you may think. Thanks to the fantastic pasta makers, for example from the brand Marcato, make pasta in the blink of an eye!
Recipe fresh pasta dough
A pasta needs very few ingredients to become delicious! After all, the ingredients are:
- 200 grams of flour
- 2 eggs
- A dash of olive oil
- A little salt
Toss all these ingredients together and knead for about 10/15 minutes until it is a smooth dough.
This is how a pasta machine works
- Attach the pasta machine to a table or your kitchen worktop, this is very easy if you have a rim to which the machine can be attached.
- The machine has 9 positions. Position 0 is the position where there is the most space for the dough and position 9 is the position where the dough becomes the flattest. For each pasta, it varies how thin the dough needs to be. So start on position 0 and place the dough on the top side of the machine near the entrance of the rollers. Now turn the lever and you will see that the dough is rolled nice and thin.
- Repeat this process at each setting until you get to the setting corresponding to your type of pasta. For spaghetti, it should be setting 3 and then repeat the last setting once.
- Then put the spaghetti cutter attachment on the machine.
- Actually do the same thing with rolling the dough when you want to cut it and place the dough at the beginning of the spaghetti cutter and start turning it. You will see that beautiful strands of spaghetti come out of this.
- Hang the spaghetti strands to dry on a specially made pasta drying rack.
- After drying, the spaghetti is ready to be cooked.
