Patricia Urquiola
Patricia Urquiola was born in Oviedo, Spain. Lives and works in Milan. She studied architecture at Madrid Polytechnic and Milan Polytechnic, graduating in 1989 with Achille Castiglioni. She was assistant professor with Achille Castiglioni; he worked with Vico Magistretti; she was design manager for Lissoni Associati.
In 2001 she opened her own studio in the fields of product design, interior design and architecture. She has created products for the most important Italian and international companies. Some of her products are exhibited in major art and design museums. Patricia has won several international awards.
