Jasper Conran
On December 12, 1959, British fashion designer Jasper Alexander Thirlby Conran was born. At an early age, Conran moved to New York to study at Parson's School of Design. His first collection was in collaboration with the well-known Henri Bendel brand in New York. Conran designed many garments for royalties, including Princess Diana and Lady Sarah Chatto.
In 2001, Conran made a foray into the Tableware world. In collaboration with Wedgwood he created the Jasper Conran White dinnerware set. Several series followed later, such as the dinnerware set Jasper Conran Chinoiserie and the Jasper Conran Platinum.
At the age of 57, Conran opened his first hotel in the heart of the Medina in Marrakech; l'Hotel Marrakech. In 2017, his hotel was named one of the 75 best new hotels in the world.
