Björn Dahlström
In 1957, designer Björn Dahlström was born in the Swedish capital of Stockholm. Dahlström gained international fame for his furniture and industrial designs. Characteristic of his designs were powerful graphics, which, in contrast, he combined with soft and fundamental forms.
Dahlström worked with big names includingIittala, Kasthall and Atlas Copco. For Iittala for example, he designed the Iittala Tools pan set. This was done in collaboration with a number of well-known chefs. In 2001, Dahlström won the Torsten & Wanja Söderberg design prize: quite an achievement. His works can also be seen in several museums in London and Stockholm.
