Doriana & Massimiliano Fuksas
Massimiliano Fuksas was born in Rome in the year 1944 to a Jewish-Lithuanian father and a Roman Catholic mother. He graduated from La Sapienze University in Rome in 1969. In this city, Fuksas opened his first office called "Studio Fuksas," followed by successive offices in both Paris and Vienna.
His wife Doriana O. Mandrelli was also born in Rome where she graduated from the same school as Massimiliano. She met Massimiliano Fuksas in the year 1985. Consequently, this was the beginning of a beautiful collaboration between husband and wife. Today Doriana Fuksas also works at Studio Fuksas, but as manager of the design department. Her work is characterized by her endless search for new materials and new production processes.
Today, Studio Fuksas is one of the leading international architecture firms in the world. Over the past 40 years, the firm has developed an innovative approach through a remarkably wide range of projects. These projects range from urban interventions to airports, from museums to cultural centers and spaces for music. With headquarters located in both Rome, Paris and Shenzhen, Studio Fuksas has completed more than 600 projects. Also, Doriana and Massimiliano Fuksas received numerous international awards.
