    Luigi Caccia Dominioni

    Luigi Caccia Dominioni was born in Milan in the year 1913. He graduated in architecture from the Technical University of Milan in 1936. In the same year he began his activities in Venice together with brothers Livio and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni. Together with them, Luigi Caccia Dominioni won the design competition at the Vimercate school. 

    In the field of industrial design, Luigi Caccia Dominioni was considered a "pioneer. This was because he presented at the Triennale VII in Milan a series of radios he had designed with the Castiglioni brothers. In the 1950s Dominioni, together with Gardella and Corradi, founded "Azucena. This was a collection of furniture and other objects he had designed.

    The Italian grandmaster passed away in the year 2016. Despite his passing, it is designed by him, Alessi Caccia cutlery is still on display today at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
