    Stefano Giovannoni

Stefano Giovannoni was born in 1954 in the Italian city of La Spezia. He studied architecture in Florence, graduating in 1978. In his younger years, Stefano Giovannoni then taught at the Faculty of Architecture in Florence, the Domus Academy in Milan, the Universitá del Progetto in Reggio Emilia and the University of Genoa. In the 1990s, he was named the most popular and successful designer.

Today he lives in Milan, where he works as an industrial and interior designer and architect. He has designed many successful collections, including the Girotondo series for Alessi. Which he created in 1989 together with designer Guido Venturini under the name King-Kong designed. Also, the Mami series for Alessi are still a great success to this day. Both collections can be found in Woldring's assortment.

    Alessi Mami series

In 1999 the first collaboration between Alessi and Stefano Giovannoni. The result was the Alessi Mami series of pans. These pans are made of stainless steel and are magnetic-based, making them suitable for any heat source.

Because the first Mami series was such a success, several collaborations followed between Alessi and Giovannoni. In 2002, 2003 and 2004 came the Alessi Mami cutlery series, the Alessi Mami Tableware  and the Mami glass service. Again, Giovannoni kept the design simple and straightforward. This can be seen, among other things, in the Mami Tableware , which is made of beautiful, white porcelain.

Well-known brands Stefano Giovannoni has designed collections for include Ceddertoth, Alessi, Magis, Lavazza, Seiko, Fiat, Siemens, Veneta, Amore Pacific and many more. These collections range both from Tableware , to bathroom accessories to outdoor furniture and so on.
