Also luxury espresso cups for the executive boardroom, water pitchers for meeting rooms, to beautiful cake plates; we are your business cooking store.

What to look for when buying dinnerware, cutlery, and kitchenware for your company canteen?

Plates and cutlery

  • Avoid razor-sharp knives and prevent accidents at work
  • Choose highly stackable lunch/breakfast plates that are dishwasher-safe. Choose a standard diameter plate size of 20 cm or smaller to save space.
  • Order timeless stainless steel cutlery to match the number of plates.
  • Also provide teaspoons and basic kitchen utensils such as a corkscrew, bottle opener, serving spoons, can opener, kitchen scissors, pizza roller, and cheese grater.
  • Is hot food often served at work, for example by the evening shift? Then deep dinner plates are also handy, but also consider the amount of cupboard space your company canteen has.
  • Do not buy much more than your dishwasher can handle.
  • Do you like working with placemats? Then choose leather placemats, as they are easy to wipe clean.

Cups and mugs

  • Is mainly coffee and tea consumed? Then mugs will suffice. They hold much more, so people don't have to constantly walk to the coffee machine.
  • If you have an espresso culture at work, make sure to also provide espresso cups or coffee cups that fit under your coffee machine in terms of height.
  • Provide spacious water glasses; these are also handy for guests visiting your company. Choose wide, sturdy water glasses, as they are less likely to break and are stackable.

Tip: place a few espresso or cappuccino cups in the executive office for special visitors. You can also place champagne glasses, soft drink glasses, and/or beer glasses here for a special deal.

Company parties

Sturdy wine glasses, possibly champagne glasses for the New Year's drinks, beer glasses, or long drink glasses will make your company party a success.

Optionally, cake plates, and possibly a cake server and cake forks if there is regularly something to celebrate. And handy bowls/dishes for chips and nuts. Adding some wooden serving boards for cheese, sausage, etc., might give your company drinks just that little extra touch. A few large serving trays and some cutting boards are also handy.

Here, too, carefully consider whether all of this is really necessary and if there is space in your canteen. No space? Then opt for paper plates, wooden cutlery sets, and disposable cups for all parties.

A BBQ at work in the summer? Always a good idea! Check out our BBQ accessories and rent the barbecues for the rest; that's convenient.

Equipment

Be careful with plug-in appliances such as egg cookers, sandwich makers, waffle irons, and the like. People forget to turn these off, with dangerous consequences. Choose safe appliances that switch off automatically after a certain time. Additionally, make agreements or put up signs: for example, "Unplug after use."

TIP: Keep it simple. It is better to choose a few fruit bowls and provide fruit at work instead of having a lot of appliances for unhealthy snacks.

Does your company have a microwave? Then a few microwave-safe bowls are handy.

Do you have a stove or hotplate at work? Limit it to a frying pan and a wok. With few pans available, you force people to clean them immediately.

Refrigerator

Have people bring their own food storage containers from home. Do not facilitate this, because before you know it, the fridge will be full of leftovers. Make agreements regarding the fridge, such as mandatory food labeling or dividing items into layers. Provide ice cube makers if you have a freezer compartment. That is nice during the summer months and not unhealthy for your staff.
