Smoker's moth

All to your taste

Easily prepare the most delicious dishes with the smoke dust of Cookinglife! Whether meat, fish, poultry or vegetables, with this fine smoking wood you give every dish a unique and intense smoke flavor through a smoker or a cold smoker. When you use a smoker, you can place the smoking dust under the smoker, light it and let it smolder. Then you simply place your favorite dish on the smoker. When you use a cold smoker, you can insert it and let the smoke come out of the hose. The duration of smoking depends on the type of wood you use and the flavor intensity you want to achieve. It will take about 30 minutes.

Cold smoking with smoke dust

Smoking dust is used to cold smoke ingredients. With it, you can give salmon, cheese, nuts and even herbs a delicious smoky flavor. Since no temperature is involved, it is also possible to smoke products that do not require cooking. For example, you can make very special sushi. Unlike hot smoking, cold smoking with smoke mash gives a deeper flavor.

Which smoke dust do you use?

Depending on what you are going to prepare and your personal taste, you can decide which wood dust to use. There are types of wood that are ideally suited for meat and others for fish. Below is an overview of some common flavors:

  • Oak: mild / spicy; to be used with any kind of food
  • Alder wood: mild/sweet; excellent for fish, pork and poultry.
  • Maple wood: soft; recommended with cheese or vegetables.
  • Pecan wood: mild/sweet; to be used with any type of food.
  • Mesquite: bitter; recommended to be used only as fuel, not as additional flavor.
  • Bourbon: strong/sweet; delicious with beef, pork, poultry and game.
  • Apple: sweet; excellent for poultry.
  • Cherry: mild/sweet; perfect for pork, beef and chicken.
  • Note: diverse; can be used with any type of food.

Use the above flavors and woods as a guide, but don't be guided by them. By experimenting, sometimes you will discover the tastiest flavors! For example, try combining a few woods.

Where can you buy smoke chips?

You are at Cookinglife the right place to buy your wood dust! We ensure fast delivery, so you don't have to wait long to smoke that one piece of salmon. In addition to our wood dust, try smoking with smoke chips or smoke chunks. The latter is ideal for the BBQ, as it smokes pieces longer. Chips or moth will burn up much faster.
