    Piero Lissoni

In 1956, designer Piero Lissoni was born in the Italian city of Milan. At the age of 29, Lissoni graduated from the Politecnico di Milano, the largest technical university in Italy. A year later, he and designer Nicoletta Canesi founded their first studio in Milan, called Lissoni Associati. Here the focus was primarily on interior design and architecture. Lissoni Associati had collaborations with Porro, Boffi and Living Devine, among others.

Lissoni has done many projects over the years. Among them, he designed the famous The Roomers Hotel in Baden-Baden, the Mamilia Hotel in Jerusalem and the Conservatorium Hotel in Amsterdam. But architecture was not Lissoni's only involvement. For the Italian brand Alessi for example, he designed the Birillo collection. This was a white, minimalist collection that includes bathroom accessories.
