    Massimo Giacon

Massimo Giacon was born in 1961 in Padua, Italy. In 1979, Massimo began publishing comic strips in the major specialized magazines such as Frigidaire, Linu, Alther, Dolce Vita, Cyborg, Nova Express and Blue.

In 1980, Massimo set up some indie music bands after which he would focus solely on his career as a solo musician. A year later in 1981, Massimo participates with Vittore Baroni and Piermario Ciani in the multimedia network project TRAX, a consistent artistic program that led to a series of exhibitions and events in Italy, America, Greece, Portugal and Switzerland.

In the mid-1980s, design became increasingly interesting to Giacon and he entered into collaborations with the major architectural firms of Sottsass, Mendini and Thun. Massimo also had the opportunity to design many products for the well-known Alessi for which he designed much of the iconic Christmas collection. In addition to work for Alessi Massimo has also had the opportunity to design for companies such as Memphis, Artemide and Swatch.

Over the years, Massimo Giacon has been responsible for developing: rugs, illustrations for fashion magazines, websites, virtual caricatures, TV theme songs, ceramics and is currently creating graphic narratives, musicals, commercials, design objects, art exhibitions and music projects with Massimo Giacon and the Blass.
