Do you have a large collection of vintage wines and are you concerned about the quality of the cork? Then the vintage needle is the solution! The vintage needle from the revolutionary brand Coravin fits on any Coravin wine system. The needle is thinner than the standard needle, making it easy to tap wine from bottles with old fragile corks. The downside is that pouring wine with the vintage needle is 40% slower than with the standard needle, but patience is rewarded! Pouring a glass of wine with the vintage needle takes about 53 seconds. In addition, the needle is made of high-quality stainless steel with a special Teflon coating. The Teflon coating ensures minimal friction when piercing the fragile corks. The needle also has a length of 9.5 centimeters.
Coravin was founded by Greg Lambrecht. He combined his knowledge of medical needles with his passion for wine to develop a unique wine storage system that allowed him to pour wine without removing the cork. The wine tastes as if the bottle has just been opened, even if it is years later.
