Coravin is an American brand founded in 2011. The brand has created a revolutionary change in the wine world with the Coravin wine systems. Unlike other wine preservation systems, which only slow down the oxidation of your wine, the wine preservation system is designed to pour out wine without removing the cork so your wine always tastes as if the bottle was only just opened - even if it's years later.
Coravin Timeless Technology
Pour your favorite wines without pulling out the cork with the Coravin Timeless Wine Storage System. This system allows you to preserve still wines for weeks, months or even years. The Coravin-needle, easily pierces cork without moving the cork material. Once the needle is removed, the cork simply springs back to its normal mould. As wine is extracted through the needle, it is replaced by pure Argon gas so oxygen will never reach the remaining wine. This keeps the wine as fresh as the day it was bottled.
Coravin Pivot Technology
With the Coravin Pivot you can pour as much wine as you want, and keep what's left for up to 4 weeks, so there's no pressure to empty or waste the bottle. Simply replace the cork or screw cap with a Pivot Stopper. When you're ready to pour, insert the Pivot device into the Stopper, tilt the bottle and press the button. When you're done, remove the device and close the cap on the Stopper.
Coravin Sparkling Technology
The Coravin Sparkling system for sparkling wine preserves the fresh taste and effervescence of your favorite sparkling wines for up to 4 weeks, so the last glass is guaranteed to taste as good as the first. After you have poured as much sparkling wine as you like, turn the stopper's locking lever all the way up to the unlocked position. Place the stopper on the opened bottle and reload it with CO2, ensuring that the bubbles do not disappear.
Coravin Wine System Cleaning
The wine systems of Coravin are easy and quick to clean! Cleaning the wine system only takes a few minutes. It is recommended to thoroughly clean the wine tap after each use to ensure longer life. You can clean the syringe of the wine tap with warm tap water. After cleaning the wine tap, press the trigger to remove excess water from the hollow needle. Dry the wine system again with a clean dish towel and your cleaning is done.
Coravin Accessories
In addition to the wine systems Coravin a number of useful accessories to enhance the taste of your wine. One of these is the Coravin Aerator, this accessory quickly infuses air into your wine as you pour it, for a silky, smooth, aromatic result usually achieved by 60-90 minutes of decanting. Another unique accessory is the Coravin-screw cap. It allows wine lovers to use their favorite screw-cap wines with the Coravin system and then store them for up to 3 months. The main accessory of Coravin are the Argon Capsules. These are the power source of the Coravin Timeless and Pivot. They are filled with pure Argon gas that pressurizes the bottle to allow the wine to flow out of the spout, then blank the remaining wine once the system is removed.
