Pour your favorite wines without pulling out the cork with the Coravin Timeless Wine Storage System. This system allows you to store still wines for weeks, months or even years. The Coravin-needle, easily pierces cork without moving the cork material. Once the needle is removed, the cork simply springs back to its normal mould. As wine is extracted through the needle, it is replaced by pure Argon gas so oxygen will never reach the remaining wine. This keeps the wine as fresh as the day it was bottled.
How it works Coravin Timeless wine system work?
- Position the wine tap above the neck of the bottle and push firmly, in one smooth motion across the neck of the bottle. This causes the Coravin-needle through the cork of the wine bottle.
- Tilt the bottle with the spout above the glass. Push briefly against the lever, release and pour.
- When you finish pouring, remove the wine system from the bottle again. This is done by removing the lever from the bottle with a smooth upward motion.
- Be sure to clean the wine system properly after use to increase its lifespan. This is easy and quick to do with warm water and a dry cloth.
Coravin Accessories
In addition to the wine systems Coravin a number of useful accessories to enhance the taste of your wine. One of these is the Coravin Aerator, this accessory quickly infuses air into your wine as you pour it, for a silky, smooth, aromatic result usually achieved by 60-90 minutes of decanting. Another unique accessory is the Coravin-screw cap. It allows wine lovers to use their favorite screw-cap wines with the Coravin system and then store them for up to 3 months. The main accessory of Coravin are the Argon Capsules. These are the power source of the Coravin Timeless and Pivot. They are filled with pure Argon gas that pressurizes the bottle to allow the wine to flow out of the spout, then blank the remaining wine once the system is removed.
Coravin Wine System Cleaning
The wine systems from Coravin are easy and quick to clean! Cleaning the wine system only takes a few minutes. It is recommended to thoroughly clean the wine tap after each use to ensure longer life. You can clean the syringe of the wine tap with warm tap water. After cleaning the wine tap, press the trigger to remove excess water from the hollow needle. Dry the wine system again with a clean dish towel and your cleaning is done.
