Designer Massimo Giacon created this nativity scene for Alessi back in 2009. At that time, he could not imagine that this designer nativity scene and all the figurines he designed with it over the years would become such a great success.

This is primarily due to its handy size; you need considerably less space for the nativity scene than for traditional nativity scenes. In addition, the sleek and timeless mould plays a role in this success. Due to its handy size and neutral mould fits this nativity scene in every home and interior.

The nativity scene is made of porcelain and comes complete with the 'standard cast', namely with Jesus, Mary, Joseph, an Ox and a Donkey. The figures are also made of porcelain and hand painted.

In addition to these figurines, the set also includes 5 additional porcelain figurines. The Alessi Nativity scene measures 13 cm x 16 cm and 13.5 cm high. The hand-painted figurines themselves are about 5.5 cm high.
