One of the most famous designs from the Alessi collection is this juicer that Philippe Starck designed during a dinner with Alberto Alessi at which he ate Calamaris. Afterwards, Philippe handed over the placemat that was under his plate lay with the design for this classic, based on the shapes of the squid. A limited edition gold-plated version of this icon has since been made.
