Equipment

  • Casserole
  • Frying pan

Ingredients

  • 350 gr. spaghetti
  • 150 gr. guanciale (alternative: pancetta)
  • 3 eggs
  • grated Parmesan cheese
  • good olive oil
  • salt & freshly ground pepper

Spaghetti Carbonara

    1. Kook The spaghetti in a pan with plenty of boiling (salted) water until it is al dente.
    2. Heat olive oil in the pan and fry the guanciale in it. Beat the eggs loose and mix with grated parmesan.
    3. Actually your dish is already ready! You only have to put the spaghetti and the egg/cheese mixture at the bacon and stir everything well. Make sure your pan is no longer on the fire, otherwise the egg can solidify and then you have scrambled eggs in your pasta.
    4. Serve immediately and eat when it is still hot, it is tastiest!

A classic pasta carbonara includes Parmesan cheese, egg and black pepper. Furthermore, Guanciale was always used as a bacon, which comes from the cheek of the pig. This may not sound very tasty, but because of the fat this is a super tasty ingredient for the spaghetti Alla Carbonara.
