Staub Cocotte
Cast iron cookware has been used for centuries, in part because it is extremely energy efficient**. The material is known to conduct and store heat excellently. Thus, the dish prepared in it develops irresistible roasting flavors. But cold dishes also benefit from these excellent properties of cast iron: they stay cold for hours, which is ideal for garden parties on sunny days.
The flat lid closes the Staub cocotte perfectly. Thanks to the special drip structure, moisture is collected evenly at the bottom of the lid and rains back over the preparation.
The inside of the cocotte is coated with matte black enamel with a rough texture. This material is scratch and acid resistant and thus guarantees a lifetime of cooking pleasure.
It takes 25 pairs of hands and at least 100 production steps to make one cocotte. At the end of the process, each product is tested according to a list of strict quality criteria, ensuring that the pans are of top quality.
