How does burning in a wok work?

Before you begin to burn in your wok pan, we recommend that you clean the wok first. Wash the wok by hand with a mild detergent and warm water. Then dry the wok well with a tea towel. That way, you'll start with a clean pan!
Add a small amount of neutral oil (sunflower, flaxseed, canola oil) to the wok pan and place it on a heat source that is not too hot. Note: Do not use olive oil! Wait for the oil to smoke, turn off the heat source and let the wok cool. Using a paper towel, smear the remaining oil through the wok pan. The pan will now darken a bit. Repeat this process several times until the wok gets a nice even dark brown coating.

Voilà, the wok is ready to use! The more often you prepare something in your wok, the better the pan will do its job.

How do you clean a burnt-in wok?

After burning the wok you naturally want you Save non -stick coating. With the incorrect cleaning of the pan you can also easily remove your non -stick coating.
