After frequent use of a kettle, limescale can remain at the bottom of the jug. That's why most kettles have a limescale filter in the spout, which prevents the limescale particles from ending up in your cup of tea. What's handy about this kettle is that the limescale filter is removable and can be put in the dishwasher. Not every kettle has this, often the limescale filter is fixed in the spout and you have to scrub it stubbornly under the tap. With this type of Westinghouse kettle, that's a thing of the past: you and your guests always have pure boiled water!
The boiling time of this retro kettle is 1 minute and 52 seconds. In just under 2 minutes, the water is boiled and you can continue with preparing food or pouring tea.
