Patricia Urquiola
Patricia Urquiola was born in Oviedo, Spain. Lives and works in Milan. She studied architecture at Madrid Polytechnic and Milan Polytechnic, where she graduated with Achille Castiglioni in 1989. She was assistant lecturer to Achille Castiglioni; he worked with Vico Magistretti; she was design manager for Lissoni Associati.
In 2001, she opened her own studio in product design, interior design and architecture. She has created products for the most important Italian and international companies. Some of her products are exhibited in major art and design museums. Patricia has won several international awards.
