All Nordic Ware baking molds have a non-stick coating, but you still need to grease the mold for the best and tastiest result. There are two ways to do this properly:

1. Use a vegetable butter and evenly distribute it over the entire mold with a rubber brush, making sure to cover all corners and crevices. Then lightly dust the mold with flour. Shake it well in the mold so that the flour is evenly distributed in all corners. Once done, shake off the excess flour from the mold.
2. Use a baking spray. But be careful, not every baking spray is suitable. Pay particular attention to using a vegetable-based spray that does not contain lecithin. Lecithin can leave a sticky residue in the mold over time, rendering the non-stick coating ineffective. It is also helpful if the baking spray contains flour. It is important to evenly distribute the spray in the mold using a rubber brush.

Once the mold is properly greased, you can fill it with the batter. Never fill the mold more than 2/3 full to prevent leakage. Then it's time to put your batter-filled mold in the oven. The oven temperature and baking time will depend on the recipe, so keep an eye on it.

To ensure that your cake comes out of the oven perfectly, it is best to use a thermometer to check the core temperature. Is your cake done? Let it cool in the mold for 10 minutes before flipping the mold and sliding the cake out.
