The Iittala frying pan has a well-fitting lid and measurement markings engraved on the inside. The lid has a small notch to allow steam to escape during cooking. Iittala Tools consists of multiple layers - aluminum is sandwiched between two layers of stainless steel. This ensures even heat distribution. Suitable for all types of stovetops. The Tools frying pan with lid can go from the stove to the oven and then directly to the table with style!
In 1957, the designer Björn Dahlström was born in the Swedish capital Stockholm. Dahlström gained international fame with his furniture and industrial designs. His designs were characterised by powerful graphics, which he combined with soft and fundamental shapes.
Dahlström has worked with big names such as Iittala, Kasthall and Atlas Copco. For Iittala, for example, he designed the Iittala Tools cookware set. This was done in collaboration with a number of well-known chefs. In 2001 Dahlström won the Torsten & Wanja Söderberg design award: quite an achievement. His works are also on display in various museums in London and Stockholm.
Since 1881, Iittala has strived to provide inspiration for a more beautiful and enjoyable life. The Iittala range consists of tableware and decoration and has a good combination of distinction and functionality.
What once began as a glass factory in the Finnish village of Iittala has developed into an internationally renowned brand that has played a decisive role in defining the Scandinavian lifestyle. The brand's philosophy is that quality never goes out of fashion.
