The Blackwell Wooden Chopping Board is a perfect addition to any kitchen. Wood is a durable product of nature, which is seen in this chopping board. The solid chopping board is made of beech wood. This is a hard wood that is suitable for all knives and won't damage them. The Blackwell Chopping Board Wood is suitable for all preparation that involves cutting.
Blackwell's wooden cutting board is not dishwasher safe. It is recommended to clean the cutting board by hand. This is best done by wiping the wood with a damp cloth. Avoid too much moisture and heat.
A wooden cutting board can lose its natural colour and shine through frequent use. This can be treated with wood oil, like the Jay Hill maintenance oil from our webshop. Once a week, apply this maintenance oil to the board. Drop some oil on the plank, spread it with kitchen paper or a cloth and let the plank absorb the oil. Repeat this process until the board no longer absorbs any oil. The wood is now saturated and sufficiently nourished again. This way you get the natural colour and shine back and ensure a longer life!
