Frying pans with standard non-stick coating
Standard non-stick coating
This non-stick coating is a PFOA-free layer of plastic: PFTE. Because PFOA is no longer used in this layer, it is not harmful to your health. In a pan with a standard non-stick coating, you can prepare dishes without using much oil or butter. Because the coating prevents ingredients from caking, the pan is especially suitable for delicate ingredients such as eggs, fish and pancakes. A standard non-stick coating is suitable for temperatures up to 260 ℃, after that the non-stick coating is damaged.
Heat-resistance
In normal use, a pan does not get hotter than 230 ℃. If you leave the pan on the fire without ingredients or put the pan on high heat for a long time, the temperature does rise to above that. Keep this in mind when choosing the appropriate pan.
