The Blackwell stainless steel knife sharpener can be used for chef's knives, kitchen knives, paring knives, and meat knives. The sharpener has three different stages: fine, ceramic, and coarse. This sharpener has wheels, allowing you to pull your knife towards you and push it away from you. This combination will perfectly sharpen your knife.
Step 1: the ceramic stage (preparation). Use this stage to straighten damaged knives before sharpening.
Step 2: the coarse stage (sharpening). This stage sharpens the knife and restores the cutting edge to a 'V' shape. Apply light downward pressure and let the knife run through the slot from heel to tip.
Step 3: the fine stage (polishing). This is the final stage where you polish and even out the knife. This removes irregularities on the knife and makes the blade smooth and sleek again.
