But few people know that this corkscrew was designed in 1994 by Alessandro Mendini for his secret love Anna G. The Alessi Corkscrew Anna Blue G AM01 is made of plastic with chrome-plated metal (zamac) and available in different colors. This corkscrew works just as easily as any other corkscrew. In the Netherlands, too, Mendini has done his bit in the field of architecture. For instance, he designed the new building of the Groninger Museum, which was festively opened in 1994 by the then Queen Beatrix. In addition, he helped design the Paradise Tower in Hiroshima and the Ceramic Museum in Incheon, among other things.
Mendini has also worked with the Italian company Alessi. Among other things, he designed beautiful percolators and corkscrews for them.
