Rye gingerbread
Rye gingerbread is a delicious spicy breakfast or snack made from rye flour. This version contains cookie spices, cinnamon, ginger, honey and apple syrup for a rich flavor. The batter is mixed with plant milk, egg and baking powders and baked into a soft, fluffy cake. The kernels on top add extra texture. Perfect for serving with a layer of butter or just as is, and it will stay delicious in an airtight container for a few days!

- 250 grams of rye flour
- 200 ml vegetable milk
- 2 tablespoons cookie spices
- 2 teaspoons of cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 teaspoons tartar powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons apple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger powder (or a piece of fresh grated ginger)
- 1 egg
- pinch of salt
- some seeds to garnish the gingerbread
