recipes baking in between breakfast

I was in the mood for some goodies and needed to clear my mind for a while. However, I didn't feel like going to the supermarket. Fortunately, I have the ingredients for these apple cinnamon rolls at home.

Recipe

Apple cinnamon rolls

These are deliciously sweet rolls for breakfast next weekend. Just messing around in the kitchen without having to make complicated shopping lists.

Apple cinnamon rolls

How do you make apple cinnamon rolls?

    1. Preheat the oven to 190 degrees
    2. Grind the oatmeal into flour in the blender or food processor. Then add the self-rising baking flour, along with the cinnamon, salt and baking powder.
    3. Then spoon in the Greek yogurt, olive oil, egg and honey and stir to make a nice batter.
    4. Peel the apple and cut it into small cubes. Then spoon the diced apple into the batter.
    5. Divide the dough into 4 balls on a Baking tray lined with baking paper. Make a nice ball, you don't have to press them as flat as I did in my photos ;-).
    6. Bake the buns for 20 minutes in the oven until nicely golden brown.

I came across the recipe for these apple cinnamon rolls online. The sandwiches were made with spelled flour, because I wanted to make gluten -free sandwiches, I adjusted the recipe slightly. I also used less egg.
