Use
To avoid damage and overheating, use the whistling kettle on the most appropriately sized cooker. For whistling kettles with a collapsible handle, make sure the handle is properly upright before placing the whistling kettle on the heat source. Close the lid tightly to protect the handle from the steam.
Do not allow the whistling kettle to boil dry; this quickly leads to overheating. Always allow the whistling kettle to cool well before refilling it with cold water.
Cooking: avoid the "boost function" on induction hobs, this function should only be used for heating large amounts of water quickly. Lift, rather than slide, the whistling kettle off the surface. Lifting avoids damaging the bottom of the kettle or the surface. When the whistling kettle is hot let it rest on a heat-resistant surface.
Cleaning
Clean the flute kettle after each use. Wash it by hand with lukewarm warm water and neutral detergent. Dry the flute kettle thoroughly to prevent limescale. Do not leave any water in the flute when it is not in use.
