You don't normally like onion soup very much? Then try this tasty version, using bok beer and cumin cheese will give you a completely different experience!

Equipment

  • Oven preheated to 200 degrees
  • Large pan
  • 4 fireproof soup bowls

Ingredients

  • 500 g onions
  • 100 g butter
  • 50 g flour
  • 1 liter beef stock
  • 200 ml stock beer
  • Per bowl 1 slice of baguette
  • 4 tbsp. mustard
  • 100 g cumin cheese
  • Salt and pepper

Onion soup with bok beer

    1. Preheat the oven to 200 ºC.
    2. Cut the onions into thin rings. Heat the butter in the pan and fry the onion until it is golden yellow.
    3. Spoon the flour through it and fry for 1 minute. Add the broth and let it cook for 10 minutes.
    4. When it boils for 8 minutes, add the beer, let it cook for 2 minutes. Season the soup with salt and pepper.
    5. Spoon the soup into refractory bowls. Coat the pieces of baguette with mustard, spread with some cheese and place the sandwiches on the soup in the bowls.
    6. Put in the oven until the cheese has melted.
