Fancy a light and fresh lunch? Then these lettuce sandwiches (also called lettuce wraps) are perfect! Fresh and crunchy Little Gem lettuce leaves were used as a base. By using lettuce instead of bread or wraps, this dish contains much less carbohydrates. Ideal if you want to take in a little less carbs! These delicious hearty lettuce leaves are filled with a flavorful mixture of tuna, capers, horseradish and yogurt.

Ingredients

  • A few leaves of Little Gem lettuce (the young, small version of romaine lettuce)
  • Tin of tuna
  • 2 tbsp. Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp. capers
  • 1 tomato
  • Piece of cucumber
  • 1 tsp. horseradish (from a jar)
  • Pepper and salt

Lettuce rolls

    1. Wash the lettuce, tomatoes and cucumber. Put some lettuce ready on a plate, cut the cucumber and tomato into pieces and place it on the lettuce.
    2. In the container you put the tuna and here you stir the yogurt, capers and horseradish. Season with salt and pepper.
    3. There is a large spoon of tuna salad on each leaf. Your super fast healthy lunch is ready!

Tip!

What is also a nice addition is grated carrot! Also makes it more colorful!
