Pumpkin Fries

Pumpkin fries are a healthy alternative to traditional fries prepared in the oven or airfryer. Thinly sliced pumpkin is seasoned with olive oil, cumin, paprika, cayenne, salt and pepper, then fried until crispy. These fries pair perfectly with a homemade burger or light salad for a nutritious meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 small pumpkin
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika powder
  • pinch of cayenne pepper

How do you make your own pumpkin fries?

    1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees
    2. Wash the pumpkin. Cut the pumpkin (can be done with peel and all) into thin slices and then into fries. The thinner, the crisper!
    3. Cover a baking sheet with baking paper. Place the fries on this. Drizzle the fries with olive oil, salt, pepper and the rest of the herbs and mix.
    4. Bake in about 30-40 minutes until they are nice and crispy.
    5. Delicious with Homemade Mayo and Burger!
