Equipment

  • Oven at 180 °C
  • 2 small baking dishes
  • sauce pan
  • Mixing bowl
  • Possibly a mortar and pestle

Ingredients

  • 300 gr. apples (3 apples)
  • 8 strawberries
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 25 ml water
  • 110 gr. sucanat
  • 30 gr. walnuts
  • 30 gr. coconut oil
  • 40 gr. spelt flour
  • Pinch of cinnamon

Mini apple-strawberry crumble

    1. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C. Peel the apples, remove them from the core and cut them into small pieces. Put the apples together with the lemon juice, water and 85 grams of sucanat in the pan and kook It creates a compote. You let everything get hot slowly so that it starts to bubble. Then let it simmer for about 10 minutes: the apple pieces are now getting soft and the flavors pull in nicely.
    2. Grease the baking dish with some coconut oil and scoop the compote when it is ready. Wash the strawberries, cut them into small pieces and divide them over the compote.
    3. Fine the walnuts with the mortar or chop them with a large knife. Put the nuts in a bowl and add the coconut oil, spelled flour, remaining sucanat and cinnamon. "Knead" it with your fingers until a crumbly whole is created: this goes pretty quickly. So don't make a ball of the dough! Then it's no longer a crumble.
    4. Divide the crumble over the compote and strawberry and place the dish in the oven for 45 minutes. The house is going to smell a lot!

Tip!

Are people coming to your food and do you want to make a larger amount? Then double the ingredients and grab a larger baking dish, or several mini baking dishes!
