Peanut butter. It goes with me on rice cakes, through my smoothies, in baking recipes and cakes. The taste of roasted peanuts just happens to combine very well with other flavors. Just spread a little peanut butter on a slice of banana or a piece of apple; bet you like it ;-)?

Oat bars with peanut butter

How to make oat bars with peanut butter?

    1. Put the pitted dates in a food processor and grind to a paste. Add the melted kosonut oil and peanut butter to the oatmeal. Add the mashed dates to this as well.
    2. Run this in the food processor for a very short time on low speed until well blended.
    3. Put some baking paper in a square bake form and pour the oatmeal-peanut butter mixture into it. Press down well. Spread the peanuts on top and press them into the batter.
    4. Put this in the freezer and after about an hour, cut bars from it. Wrap these individually so you can take them with you as a snack. Store in the freezer. Defrost briefly (10-15 minutes) before eating them.

As a snack I often take rice cakes with peanut butter to work, for the tasty trek around 3 o'clock. Many colleagues reacted surprised when I indicated that I use normal peanut butter because they thought that sugar has been added to the peanut butter. But the standard peanut butter with brown cap contains only four ingredients; roasted peanuts, vegetable oil, palm fat and salt. Peanuts are not nuts, but legumes (did you know?) And are rich in unsaturated fats and fiber. It is also a source of proteins, vitamins and minerals (vitamins E, B3, zinc, magnesium and phosphorus). Because of these characteristics, many athletes are crazy about it.

Now I thought it would be nice to make a nice bar with peanut butter, which you can easily take anywhere. Ideal snack, because it is tasty, filling and nutritious.
