Ingredients

  • 300 grams of minced chicken
  • 10 sun-dried tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 red onion
  • ½ cucumber
  • 100 grams of Greek yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon dill
  • handful of rocket
  • 10 cherry tomatoes
  • 40 grams of feta cheese
  • 4 buns

How to make a healthy chicken burger?

Finely chop the sun-dried tomatoes. Add them to the minced chicken, along with half a teaspoon of garlic powder (the other half teaspoon is for the yogurt sauce) and cumin powder. Mix the minced meat well (with your hands) and divide into 4 portions.

mouldThe 4 portions of minced meat into flat burgers. Fry them in the pan for about 8 minutes until cooked, on both sides.

Meanwhile, make the yogurt sauce (tzatziki). Grate about half of the cucumber into the Greek yogurt. Now add in the other half teaspoon of garlic powder and also the teaspoon of dill. Mix well and season with some salt and pepper.

Shave the rest of the cucumber into slices with a mandolin, for example. Cut the cherry tomatoes into quarters and divide over the arugula.

Cut open the sandwiches and spread with yogurt sauce. Place a few slices of cucumber on top and some cherry tomatoes, if desired. Now place the chicken burger on top, garnish with feta cheese and arugula. Divide the rest of the arugula and cucumber over the plate.

Fortunately, the burgers are also very easy to make gluten -free. All you have to do is use gluten -free (hamburger) sandwiches. Fortunately these are actually in every supermarket nowadays.

At the chicken burger I made a simple yoghurt sauce. Of course it looks a bit like the Greek Tzatziki, but this version is a bit easier. You are ready in a minute! Incidentally, it is a very nice sauce to put on the table at a barbecue in the summer. Fresh and healthy!
