Tuna is a popular type of fish, you can eat it raw (for example, as sashimi or through a poke bowl), but a tuna steak is also great for frying. This dish combining tuna with quinoa and mango is a nice light meal. You marinate the tuna in tea, this may sound a little crazy, but just wait until you taste it!

Grilled tuna

How to make the tuna steak with quinoa mango salad?

    1. Cut open the tea bag, season the tuna on both sides with the tea and then let stand for 10 minutes.
    2. Kook The quinoa according to instructions on the package.
    3. Meanwhile, cut the cucumber and mango into about 1-inch pieces and chop the cilantro finely.
    4. Once the quinoa is ready, mix in the cucumber, mango, cilantro (keep a little bit) and a splash of olive oil and let everything soak for 15 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
    5. Make sure the grill is well hot and place the tuna steak in it. When you put it in for a minute at most, the inside is still raw, this gives the fish a lot of flavor. But bake it just the way you like it, 2-3 minutes will do. Just don't fry it all the way through: that won't improve the taste.
    6. Once the tuna is ready, cut it into strips and put it on top of the quinoa salad. Finish with some fresh cilantro and enjoy!

Tip!

Remove the tuna steak from the refrigerator half an hour before use, so it can come to temperature and cook the tuna more evenly.
