The other day was my brother-in-law's birthday and my sister had made a chocolate cake especially for me without sugar, gluten and cow's milk. Super sweet! Unfortunately, I was down with the flu, but the boyfriend did go and brought back a piece of chocolate cake for me. Delicious! I called my sister for the recipe, but she didn't have it handy. She said she had made the chocolate mousse with banana and avocado and that was enough for me to go ahead with my own recipe. With a few minor adjustments it was ready, voila: chocolate mousse with avocado and banana, which is also sugar-free and dairy-free.

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 avocado
  • 4 tablespoons raw cacao powder
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable milk (almond milk, soy milk)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 large medjoul dates, without seeds
  • handful of fresh raspberries or blackberries
  • coconut rind
  • optional: 1 teaspoon honey or agave syrup

Chocolate mousse

    How to make chocolate mousse?

    1. Put the banana, avocado, cocoa powder, milk, squeeze, medjoul dates and possibly honey in a food processor. Run for a few minutes until this becomes an even mixture. Taste and add more sweet (dates/honey) to taste.
    2. Spoon the mixture into small containers and let it get cold in the refrigerator for about half an hour to an hour. Then garnish with some fresh raspberries or blueberries and coconut rind. Enjoy your meal!

To be honest, I took the first bite with a bit of long teeth, because the fact that you make a chocolate mousse from avocado just a bit disappointing me. No need for anything! Especially not saying people at the table, by the way, because I promise you will really not realize that!

Does this not look great? It is made in 5 minutes, because all you have to do is throw all the ingredients in a food processor and to have it done further. Then in the fridge and there is a delicious and healthy dessert (or just pampering in the middle of the day) waiting for you.
