In the series Gourmet of the brand Microplane are a number of graters and planers, including the Microplane Planer Large. The graters and planers from Microplane are the only rasps which are laser cut. This distinguishes them from many other brands and has a positive effect on their longevity. The blade is made of 18/10 stainless steel, to which an ergonomic handle with soft grip is attached. This handle is made of plastic.
