Maybe I have a real sweet tooth, because I can really crave a piece of white chocolate. But white chocolate from the store is full of refined sugar; in most bars, sugar is the main ingredient. That's why I wanted to make my own white chocolate and started looking for a good way.

Just a little different, but with the taste of white chocolate!

Ingredients

  • 50 grams of coconut oil
  • 15 grams of cream butter (or cocoa butter)
  • 60 grams of grated coconut
  • 40 grams of honey
  • handful of hazelnuts
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    1. Put all the ingredients except the hazelnuts in the blender or blend with a hand blender until even.
    2. Chop the hazelnuts small. Add them and spoon through the mixture.
    3. Divide the chocolate among the molds and press well. You can also make a bar, by placing the chocolate on a foil and wrapping it (square).
    4. Store the white chocolate in the freezer.
    5. For visitors, you can present the chocolates, for example, on a serving stone.

Many recipes use cocoa butter, which seems very tasty to me, but I don't have that at home. Of course you can buy it especially for it, but I wanted to make a recipe with ingredients that you have almost standard at home. I saw a nice recipe online and for the most part I arrested that. I did not have vanilla powder at home, so I used vanilla extract as standard (sugar -free).

I think it's very special, because it really tastes like white chocolate. It is not exactly the same, but it looks great. With a nice touch of coconut. "Only" 40 grams of honey goes in to sweeten the chocolate. Of course honey is also a sugar, so don't eat all chocolate in one go. But if you have this healthy white chocolate in your freezer, you can occasionally eat a little healthier.
