What beats a fresh, homemade pizza? Pretty much nothing, if you ask me. Pizza is my most favorite comfort food of all time! Unfortunately, fries are hubby's favorite here, but he doesn't turn down a homemade pizza on his time either ;-). This time I made a vegetarian pizza with bell peppers and mushrooms and I really liked it. Therefore I am happy to share the recipe with you.

Vegetarian pizza with bell bell pepper

Vegetarian pizza with bell bell pepper is a colorful and flavorful dish, rich in fiber and vegetables. The homemade pizza dough is topped with passata, pesto, red bell bell pepper and sautéed mushrooms, then finished with grated cheese. After baking for 10-15 minutes at 220 degrees, it creates a delicious, crispy pizza that is perfect for an Italian meal full of flavor and variety.

Ingredients

  • 250 grams of flour
  • 7 grams of dry yeast
  • 150 ml water
  • dash of olive oil
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 red peppers
  • 400 grams chestnut mushrooms
  • 400 grams passata di pomodoro
  • 4 teaspoons pesto
  • 100 grams grated cheese

How to make vegetarian pizza with bell peppers.

    1. First you make the pizza dough. This has to rise for a while. Mix the flour with yeast and salt and then add water and olive oil. Knead into a nice pizza dough. Cover the dough (in the bowl) with a wet tea towel and now let rise in a warm place for 1.5 hours.
    2. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees.
    3. Cut the mushrooms into slices. Bake in the pan with some olive oil for about 8-10 minutes. In the meantime, cut the peppers into strips.
    4. Divide the dough into 2 portions. Make a nice, thin pizza base with a rolling pin. Pierce a number of holes in the soil with a fork. Spread the bottom with passata and then spread 2 teaspoons of pesto.
    5. Divide the pepper strips over the pizza, together with the mushrooms. Finally, garnish the pizza with grated cheese. Now bake in the oven for about 10-15 minutes.
