Recipes Baking Gluten-free Vegan Dessert

Enjoying dishes and recipes is the most fun there is for me. Although the range of products in the supermarket seems to increase every year, dishes you make yourself are often much tastier. Besides, you know exactly what's in it, it's fun to be busy and it's satisfying when a recipe succeeds! The flavors in the snack with chocolate, peanut butter and salt combine super well and the snack bar has a nice crunch.

Preparation time

Preparation time 30 min
Stiffen up min. 1 hr
Total 1.5 h

Ingredients

  • For the bottom:
  • 60 grams of gluten-free pretzels
  • 100 grams of gluten-free oat flakes
  • 100 grams of peanut butter
  • 30 grams of honey or agave syrup
  • 100 grams of dates
  • for topping:
  • about 30-40 grams of pretzels
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil
  • 100 grams of dark chocolate

Snack bar with chocolate and peanut butter

    1. Put the Krakelingen together with the oat flakes in a food processor and grind.
    2. Add the pitted dates, peanut butter and honey or agave syrup. Grind this until it is sticky when you arrange the mixture between your fingers.
    3. Take a square baking tin, add baking paper and press the dough firmly with your fingers or the back of a spoon. Put in the fridge.
    4. Continue with the topping. Melt the chocolate au-bain-marie together with the coconut oil.
    5. Meanwhile, finely chop the Krakelingen.
    6. Divide the melted chocolate over the bottom and again divide the chopped pretends.
    7. Put in the fridge until the chocolate is hard (about 30-60 minutes).
    8. Then cut into strips or blocks. Take your snacks in foil to work or start snacking immediately.

I saw a picture of this delicious delicacy and immediately thought: I have to make this. It is completely gluten -free because both the Krakkelingen and the oat flakes do not contain Glutten. In addition, the recipe does not contain dairy and it is also vegan (if you use agave syrup instead of honey). You can pack the snack bars in a piece of foil, so that you have a delicious snack with you on the road!

Do you also like salty pretends? I now use them in this recipe, but they are also very tasty to "just" eat like salts. They are crispy, not too salty and a fine snack. Perfect to put on the table while bubbling! Or of course to process in a delicious recipe, such as these snack bars with chocolate, peanut butter and salts ;-).
