After silver, copper is the best conductor of heat. This allows you to cook with copper pans with extreme precision: it allows you to choose a temperature very precisely and keep the contents of the pan at that temperature for a long time.
Mepra Copper pans are composed of 3 layers:
1. Exterior of copper
2. Partition of aluminum
3. Inside of stainless steel 18/10
The copper ensures optimal heat conduction, the aluminum forms the connection between the heat conduction of the copper and the strong stainless steel interior. This combination of materials gives you the benefits of copper and the advantages of stainless steel.
New copper pans should be carefully washed with boiling water. Dry the pan with a soft clean cloth. The pan is now ready for use.
Cleaning your copper pan
Copper pans retain their beautiful shiny appearance when cleaned without chemicals. If there are stains on the pan, they can be polished off with natural acids such as buttermilk or lemon juice and a little salt. Mix these in a container and rub your pan with it. Let the pan stand for 15 minutes and then rinse the pan.
