Alessi Olive oil taster Fior D'Olio

Designer Marta Sansoni designed this oil bottle in 2014 for the Italian Alessi. It is actually more than an oil bottle, as the shiny stainless steel pouring spout can simply be placed on top of any oil bottle.

This pouring spout ensures that the oil can be poured out in the correct amount. The sealing valve built into the spout also ensures that the oil bottle is sealed when not in use, controlling the oxidation process of the oil.

When you place the spout on the small included bottle, you not only have a funny, small bottle of oil on the table (or with snacks) but more importantly a classic tasting bottle for tasting and judging the olive oil from.

This bottle tapers so that the aroma of the oil to be tasted is led directly to the nose of the taster. The dark green glass prevents the taster from being able to see the color of the oil and therefore might be influenced when tasting. A design with a story behind it that will undoubtedly surprise many culinary lovers as a gift.

This oil bottle is 8.5cm high and has a diameter of 6cm (top 5cm).
