Ingredients

  • 260 grams of gluten-free self-rising baking flour
  • 3 grams of yeast
  • 160 ml lukewarm water
  • 1 generous splash of olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt

How to make gluten-free pita rolls.

    1. Add the yeast to the lukewarm water, mix well and let it stand for a few minutes.
    2. Add the salt to the flour and then add the olive oil and water with yeast to the flour. Mix this with a food processor or mixer with dough hooks into a nice dough. You can also knead it by hand into a nice dough.
    3. Place a damp tea towel over the dough and let it rise in a warmer spot in the house (25-30 degrees) for about half an hour.
    4. Then make 6 equal balls of the dough. Cover a baking sheet with baking paper. Divide the six balls over the baking sheet. Make sure there are enough distance between the balls, because you are now rolling them out with a rolling pin. Make the pita sandwiches about 2 cm thick; Not too thin, because then you can't cut them open properly.
    5. Now propose the oven to 225 degrees. Fry the pita bread for about 10 minutes until golden brown and then let the rolls cool well.
