Avocado filled with shrimp

Halve the avocado and carefully scoop out the flesh, placing the empty shells on a plate. Mash the avocado in a bowl, squeeze the garlic clove, slice the spring onion and chives into rings and add them to the avocado. Stir in the shrimp, two spoonfuls of crème fraîche and some lime zest and juice to taste. Season with salt and, of course, a few drops of Tabasco. Spoon the mixture back into the hollowed avocado halves, garnish with some chive sprigs and a lime wedge and tadaaa: you have a culinary starter!

This dish is perfect if you want to put something special on the table without spending hours in the kitchen. The combination of creamy avocado, briny shrimp and fresh lime makes for a wonderfully balanced bite that’s always well received.

Serve this starter immediately after preparing so the avocado stays nice and fresh. Want it a bit spicier? Feel free to add an extra dash of Tabasco. Delicious with a crusty piece of bread on the side.
