This Wusthof knife is perfect for cutting tomatoes. Due to the serrated bottom, this knife can even slice the ripest tomatoes into thin slices. In addition, the forked end of the knife is ideal for serving the tomato slices. The blade of the knife has a length of 14 cm.
The knives from the German brand Wusthof are made from a single piece of high-quality chrome-molybdenum-vanadium steel. This type of steel with a hardness of 56-58 Rockwell guarantees long-lasting sharpness and is easy to sharpen.
The Wusthof Gourmet knives also have a handle with a drop shape. This shape provides a comfortable grip and ensures a good grip. The three stainless steel rivets ensure that the handle is firmly and seamlessly attached to the knife.
Storing a sharp knife loose in the kitchen drawer is asking for trouble. It is not only dangerous, but it also damages the cutting edge of the knife. It is much better to store a knife in a knife block or hang it on a knife magnet. This extends the lifespan and is safer. If you still want to store your knife in the kitchen drawer, use a knife protector.
Technically, Wusthof knives are dishwasher safe. Nevertheless, we recommend cleaning Wusthof knives immediately after use with warm soapy water or simply under the warm tap. Dry immediately after cleaning, otherwise oxidation spots may appear on the blade. All of this ensures an optimal lifespan for the knives.
Wüsthof is the company that is still in family hands after 200 years. The brand has specialised in knives since 1814. The family business has been based in Solingen since the early years and now has several locations where the craftsmanship is carried out.
The aim is to offer food lovers, cooking enthusiasts and chefs from all over the world exceptionally sharp, high-quality knives that are at once beautiful, functional and perfectly balanced
