Thanks to the high quality and cast aluminum, you can enjoy the baking pans from Nordic Ware. Provided you use the mould properly treated before, during and after baking, of course. The Nordic Ware baking pans all contain a non-stick coating, however, you will have to use the bake form do need to grease them for the very best, and tastiest, results. There are two ways to do this properly:
- Use a vegetable butter and spread it evenly with a rubber brush all over the bake form, include all the nooks and crannies well. Next, dust the mould lightly with flour. Shake this around well in the mould, so that flour is also in all the corners. Is this successful? Then you can remove the excess flour from the mould shake.
- Use a baking spray. But be careful, not every baking spray is suitable. In particular, make sure the baking spray is vegetable-based and does not contain lecithin. Lecithin can eventually leave a sticky film in the bake form, causing the non-stick coating to actually stop working at all. It is also helpful if the baking spray contains flour. It is still important that you spread the spray well in the mould by using a rubber brush.
When the bake form is well greased you can fill it with the batter, fill the bake form never more than 2/3, to avoid leaking. Next it is time to fill your bake form with batter into the oven. What temperature the oven should be at and how long you should bake the batter obviously depends on the recipe, keep a close eye on this.
