Basil oil

Basil oil is a simple and flavorful oil that you can quickly make yourself. Fresh basil leaves are blended with olive oil in a blender or food processor to make a beautiful green. Optionally, you can add a clove of garlic for extra flavor. Pour the oil into a clean bottle and use it as a dressing or flavoring for various dishes.

  • Blender
  • Hand blender or food processor
  • Beaker bottle or other oil bottle

Ingredients

  • Half a plant of fresh basil
  • 250 ml of good olive oil

How do you make the basil oil?

    1. Cut the twigs 1 cm above the ground (for example, the chance is greatest that they grow again) and the basil was well off.
    2. Pat dry with a tea towel and put together with the oil in the food processor. Let it run until you have a nice green whole.
    3. If you like it you can add some fresh garlic, but that is certainly not necessarily necessary!
