Equipment

  • Small saucepan
  • Spoon

Ingredients

  • Oats (I always make sure the bottom of the pan is covered)
  • rice milk (or another plant-based milk such as almond or oat milk)
  • 1 kiwi
  • 1 orange
  • crushed flaxseed and chia seeds to taste

Fresh start | oatmeal breakfast with kiwi and orange

    1. Put the oats in the saucepan and pour in the rice milk. Make sure all the oats are 'wet' and that there's a thin layer of milk on top. Heat the oats slowly (!) over low heat. Keep stirring well in the meantime.

    2. Cut the orange in half and squeeze the juice from one half over the pan. Peel and chop the kiwi and the other half of the orange. Pour the oats into a bowl and top with the kiwi and orange. If you like, sprinkle some crushed flaxseed and chia seeds over it. Enjoy this great start to your day!

This breakfast is easy to adapt to your taste. Use whatever plant-based milk you prefer and add crushed flaxseed or chia seeds to taste for extra fiber and nutrients.

The tartness of the orange and the freshness of the kiwi turn this oatmeal into a delicious, energizing start to your morning. Enjoy!
